Our Story

Amirrah kick-started as an initiative rooted in the ideals of giving back to the community. Ingrained in the founder's own values and principles, the themes of family and feminism became the driving force behind Amirrah's vision to empower women in cultivating their unique pregnancy journeys.

At Amirrah, we understand that - whether planned or unplanned - pregnancies can alter your life forever. Our aim via this venture is to support you through the appropriate next steps in your journey by providing you with quality healthcare that looks after your physical and mental well-being throughout the pregnancy, postpartum and/or post-abortion phases. Additionally, our specialized early childhood development (ECD) programme also caters to your child(ren)'s cognitive and physical development, which remains most susceptible from the ages of 0-3.

In order to make this a reality, our efforts are currently focused in two geographies - India and Kenya - across the following verticals:

• Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH)

• Mental Health 

• Early Childhood Development

Lastly, our grant programmes allow us to cater to the individual needs of the most vulnerable and underserved populations in both geographies.
